Orthopaedic Rehabilitation Unit :

Physiotherapist at the centre work closely together to evaluate and treat full spectrum of orthopaedic cases including sports injuries, fracture care, post surgical rehabilitation like total hip replacement and total knee replacement and the conservative care of neck and low back injuries. We offer physical therapy in our institute with the modern facility and hi-tech equipments like Intellect Combo Unit, interferntial therapy, traction laser and other electrotherapeutic equipments. All patients receive quality "hands on" care.

Readymade and tailor-made orthotic items are provided as per the requirements of the patients

Hydrotherapy Clinic :

It’s located in the south wing adjacent to the Gymnasium. Physiotherapist staff treat a wide range of patients who will benefit from most of these services in the most effective manner. The weightless environment of water allows the patient to function in a non-weight bearing fashion, which can relieve an enormous amount of stress on painful lower extremity joints.

Orthopaedic and neurological cases benefit a lot from the clinic. This is its first of its type in the town.

Paediatric Rehabilitation Unit :

Paediatric rehabilitation is designed to improve the abilities of children and young people following major injury, illness or medical procedures which affect their function.

Paediatric rehabilitation programs aim to maximise the ability of the child to participate in activities at home, school and the community. Families and caregivers play a key role in the rehabilitation program.

An individualised program is designed to achieve specific goals in areas such as mobility, self care and communication. Suitability for rehabilitation is assessed on an individual basis. Services are offered until young people have completed secondary schooling and includes transition to adult based services when appropriate.

The unit has specialised gadgets and equipment that play an important role in rehabilitation.

Play therapy where toys are incorporated to create a homely environment.

Neuro Rehabilitation Centre :

The center for neurorehabilitation services is an independent clinic located in the south wing.

Neuro Rehabilitation Clinic provides Out-patient, In-patient, Community based, comprehensive neurorehablitation and neuro development therapy through multidisciplinary approach to care.

We provide innovative, collaborative, supportive treatment that is focused on the needs of the individual patient resulting in increased independence and quality of life.

Cardiac Rehabilitation unit :

Physical rehabilitation at the Cardiac Rehabilitation Center takes place in our new fully instrumented, state-of-the-art gym. A patient-specific regimen is made as soon as a patient enters the rehabilitation program. Patients work out to build both aerobic capacity and strength.

Patients are organized into classes, which also function as support and social groups. Classes always start with stretching with one of our physical therapists, followed by warm-up, exercise and a cool down period. Patients receive individual attention from our physical therapists, even while working out in a group setting. Patients mainly seen are post-coronary artery bypass grafting, valve replacement surgeries, angioplasties, etc.

Physiotherapy in women’s health :

Our team of specialist gynecological physiotherapists is available to treat all conditions relating to women"s health, for example stress incontinence, bladder control problems and weak pelvic floor muscles.

All women undergoing a major gynecological procedure at the hospital will be seen by a physiotherapist.

Services available :

  • Pelvic floor muscle assessment and re-education for continence problems, weak pelvic floor or sexual dysfunction.
  • Treatment to support recovery post-hysterectomy and other gynecological surgery.
  • Manual therapy to treat any muscular-skeletal discomfort, pain and dysfunction during and following pregnancy.
  • Therapy to ease symptoms associated with the menopause.
  • Antenatal and postnatal classes are conducted on regular basis.
