The radiology department has the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) with remote viewing and reporting facilities. Unique to this hospital’s imaging services is that the consultant radiologist attends and reports all the in-hospital as well as OPD emergency scans at any hour on all days personally, facilitating immediate management. We offer the following health care imaging facilities. • X-RAY AND RADIOLOGY PROCEDURES :Digital Xrays provide clear images with indepth and detail evaluation. No reexposures are needed. • BMD:Evaluation of bone mineral content is done by DEXA method with grading of the severity of osteoporosis by World Health Organization criteria. • MAMMOGRAPHY:
Mammomat 300 Nova is a sensitive and high resolution machine which detects "microcalcification" in breast tissue - an early sign of malignancy before palpable lump. Screening mammography is recommended for all women above 40 years age. • SONOGRAPHY:The superior gray scale resolution of the equipment offers excellent image acquisition for all routine sonographies and small part studies. FETAL 3D & 4D - "live baby" images with fetal face rendering possible on our sonography machine. • COLOUR DOPPLER:We have a high end color doppler equipment (Siemens Acuson) that has a superior gray scale resolution and picks up even very low velocity flow and the smallest of plaques / turbulent flow velocities. Carotid, Renal, Peripheral vascular ( upper and lower limb), Portal, Scrotal and Obstetric Doppler studies can be performed. • 64 SlICE SPIRAL CT SCANNER: The 64 slice CT scanner with fastest scanning speed has an ability to acquire 192 slices per second with detail and specific image information in all 3 planes with 3D reconstruction. Noninvasive Diagnostic CT Angiography of coronary arteries, neck and brain, Pulmonary arteries, Aorta, and the Upper & Lower limb vascular tree has replaced the conventional angiography done with catheter, eliminating the need for admission and associated complications. Cardiac CT Coronary Angiography is an excellent screening modality for coronary arterial disease with a negative predictive value of 98% and 95%accuracy. Image Guided Interventional Procedures as noninvasive biopsies for tissue diagnosis, percutaneous drainage catheter placements and nerve blocks for chronic pain management are offered. • 1.5 T MRI We have a high resolution 1.5T MR with TIM technology with advanced neurological applications such as,
- Diffusion,Gradient, Perfusion,
- Magnetization transfer,

- MR Angiography,

- Carotid Plaque Characterization allowing accurate diagnosis.
Excellent quality musculoskeletal, whole spine, vascular and abdominal imaging with MRCP can be performed. Our center is equipped with a MR compatible Ventilator (aneasthesia machine) for life support, which can be used in serious as well as claustrophobic patients and with blue tooth technology for in scan vitals monitoring.
