The Department of Anaesthesia and Pain Management at Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital, Pune, India is a 24 hour Perioperative service encompassing pre-anesthesia Assessment in OPD, intra operative anesthesia, Anaesthesia in areas outside of the operating suite and acute post operative pain management. The hospital has 13 Operating theatres (separate obstetric and emergency theatre) Her experience includes anaesthesia for all surgical branches including Obstetric Anaesthesia, Epidural for labour analgesia, burns and plastic surgery anaesthesia, major trauma, neurosurgical anaesthesia, and microlaryngeal laser surgeries, her main expertise is in doing cases with poor cardiac reserve for non cardiac surgeries. Her special interest is acute pain management and at Aditya Birla Hospital, Department has set up Pune’s first Acute pain service, with 24 hour pain nurse and anaesthetist cover to treat pain.
Brief Biography
Dr Deepali Junnarkar Roy is a qualified, experienced and versatile anaesthesiologist. She did her MD and DNB from B J Medical College, Pune. She is committed to provide evidence based best practice, continuous quality improvement, research and training. She did her advanced training in Anaesthesia at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Adelaide, Australia and later in North Middlesex Hospital, UK. She has done the European Heart associations ALS provider course as well as the American Heart Associations ACLS provider and instructor courses.
She is a good teacher and enjoys teaching junior doctors as well as nurses.
