Brief Biography

Dr Yashwant Nankar is an Anesthesiologist by profession. He has passed is MBBS and M.D. in Anesthesiology & Pain management from BJ Medical College Pune in 1982. He is specialized in Pain management and is working in this field for past 20 years. During this period he has mastered various routine & advanced pain management interventional techniques. He has treated Thousands of patients from different part of India & abroad.

He is attached as a Pain Management Consultant to Niramaya Hospital Chinchwad, Maharashtra Medical Foundation’s, Joshi Hospital Pune & YCM Hospital-Pimpari.

• MBBS & MD (Anaesthesiology) from BJMC, Pune.
• Training- Cancer Pain, and Palliative Care - Gujarat Cancer & Research Institute, Ahmedabad, under the auspices of The Indian Association of Palliative care in 1994.

Chairing the Scientific Session at Global Update on Pain and National Conferences of Indian Society for Study of Pain (ISSP) held in Mumbai , Pune, Ahemadabad etc since 2000.

Chairing the Scientific Session at Comprehensive Review of Interventional Pain Therapies, Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre in collaboration with Weill Cornell Medical College, New York, USA, Mumbai 2007.

Guest Speaker, on different topics in Pain Management for Pain Physicians, Medical students, general practitioners and consultants in national, state and city meetings more than 80.

Faculty member and Speaker for Training courses and Workshops for Interventional Pain Management, organized in Mumbai and Miraj. since 2000. These workshops were attended by about 200 anesthesiologists, and few orthopaedic surgeons from all over the country & abroad.
