Neurosurgery

What does a neurosurgeon need to make decisions about your care?
Your surgeon will ask you for a complete history of your condition and will perform a physical examination.
All your previous medical records relating to your problem should be brought with you or sent ahead by your primary care physician. Your neurosurgeon will also need to see all imaging done in the past six months, like MRIs, X-rays, CT scans, and nerve studies. Further studies may be ordered.
